for a changing world
This station is designed using an industry standard High Potential unit from a worldwide supplier. Its purpose is to check that the there is no current leakage on the finished battery and this test is typically carried out just before palletising on the finishing line.
Manufactured entirely from EN1.3401 (AISI 304) SS for a long life, this tester also incorporates 100% acid resistant materials as one never knows when an ‘accident’ can occur.
The system uses an independently motorised head (recipe based option) for positioning above the battery to be tested. A cage is then placed around the battery, just below the cover lip and a probe is automatically placed on the positive terminal where a pre-set Voltage Value (6-12kV) is sent to the terminal.
The cage and lower structure then check for an leakage from inside the battery to outside the case and should a leak occur, the battery is moved out of the station onto the reject bench.
