for a changing world
The AWB is used for the formation of all types of lead acid battery. While various dimensions are available the standard units (below) are suited to current trends in rectifier design.
The water bath uses a combination of air and water to cool the batteries during the formation process. This Jacuzzi effect helps to maintain a constant controlled environment and process condition so as to maintain the internal acid temperature at a near constant set point through the formation cycle. Each bath is equipped with its own failsafe level control group, automatic charge/discharge valves, water pump and independent electrical control panel.
Batteries are transported in and out of the bath through a series of motorised rollers which allow a more homogenous passage of water between the battery cases (nominal 10mm) as opposed to a belt driven system. Not only have we removed the need for maintenance (rollers are self-lubricating) but mechanically it offers a more robust system then typical plastic belt tanks.
The water baths are managed through our AquaForm water bath software and generally connected to a master panel which controls the whole plant operation (water bath, scrubbers, filters, storage, water treatment, automatic loading, etc.) AquaForm is an integrated solution based on the SIEMENS WINCC Package.
The AWB series in produced entirely in EN 1.4404 SS and complete with LEXAN/PP aspiration hoods.
